February 17, is National Random Act of Kindness Day! I know...there are so many of these national days but this one (in my opinion) is pretty awesome!
National Random Act of Kindness Day reminds me of the Maya Angelou quote: “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
I think it is great that we have one day that is all about deliberately making someone feel special, for no reason other than pure kindness! We've all experienced it, the compliment on our outfit (on the day we really needed it!), the person who pays for our coffee in the drive through, or the person who lets you skip ahead of them in the line because they can see we are in a rush! Such a small act can really go a long way in making someone’s day or impacting their life in that particular moment.
