Easy 4th of July Potluck Hacks!

Easy 4th of July Potluck Hacks!

One of the best parts about summer is the 4th of July. The BBQs, the fireworks, spending time with friends and family, and the red, white, and blue color scheme make me so happy! I love being able to get together with my loved ones to have a day of fun in the sun (fingers crossed!) and eat good food and watch a firework show.

As with most BBQs, you never want to show up empty handed, but you also don’t want to spend all day in the hot kitchen making something to bring. That is why I have a few easy, time-saving suggestions for you to bring to a BBQ that will cut down on your time in the kitchen so you can spend more time with family and friends.

Check out these SUPER easy recipes using all store bought things you can bring to a 4th of July BBQ this week. No baking or cooking required!

Appetizer: Patriotic Chips and Dip

You will need: A bag of blue corn tortilla chips, a jar or salsa, a jar of white queso dip.

Put chips in a bowl. Stick a spoon in the salsa. Heat up the white queso dip in the microwave according to instructions. Set next to each other and let people make their own nachos!

Entrée: 4th of July Salad

You will need: One diced red pepper, a carton of blueberries, 8oz crumbled goat cheese, a bag of mixed green salad, raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

Loosely toss all the ingredients together in a bowl, minus the dressing. Set out to serve with dressing on the side.

Dessert: Red, White, & Blueberry Bites

You will need: A carton of strawberries and blueberries, and a can of whipped cream.

Slice strawberries in half. Squirt a quarter sized dollop of whipped cream on the sliced side of the strawberry. Place one or two blueberries on top of the whipped cream. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

There you have it! Each one of these simple recipes takes less than 10 minutes each to put together and serve! And just like I promised you, no baking or cooking required! Give one or all of them a shot this 4th of July and let me know how you like it!
