Throughout the year, I am going to spotlight some of these companies to tell you a little bit about them and share with you where you can get True North Beauty in person!
We love working with and supporting women-owned businesses so it came as no surprise that we met and hit it off with Christina Marsh, the owner of Carpe Diem Salon in Dover Foxcroft!
Carpe Diem Salon is a full service salon. There are 4 stylists: Jean Correa, Brittany Ames, Sami Hall, and Christina Marsh; and 2 massage therapists: Melissa Veraldo and Kristen Gilbert. They offer hair and nail services, facials, waxing, massage, energy work, and tanning.
When we asked Christina to be our next retail partner feature, she told us she would love to since her and her clients love True North Beauty! Here is the interview:
TNB: How did you first hear about True North Beauty?
CM: Heather had come into the salon to receive a pedicure a few years back. We got chatting and talking about her Splurge line. She was a beautiful glow of energy, so motivated and inspiring! She continued as a customer and we always talked and engaged about business and goals. One day she told me about her new line, True North. I loved the name and packaging and I really like the fact that she used natural ingredients, like Chaga. I knew right then I wanted to try the product.
TNB: Have you heard of Chaga before?
CM: Yes! I like to spend time in the woods and find and harvest my own Chaga J. So, being a lover of Chaga, why wouldn’t I want to try it in a skincare line?
TNB: What product did you try first?
CM: Heather actually brought me a Beauty Box to try. I thought ‘well this is a nice sample and great way to try a few products’ and took it home to use. The first week I was hooked! I even bought the girls at the salon a Beauty Box for a little appreciation gift! I wanted them to try this great line and since then, we all use it!
TNB: That’s awesome! Do you have a favorite product?
CM: My favorite product is the Cleansing Oil. I love that I can remove my eye makeup and cleanse my face with it also. It feels so good at the end of the day to wash my face with it!
TNB: Do you use any of the products on your clients?
CM: I use the Eye Cream, Hydration Cream, and Lip Serum with my facials at the salon. But I retail the whole True North Beauty line at the salon. The customers that have tried it really seem to like it!
